“Recent NE Pacific Warming, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Blob” Nick Bond, Ph. D Climatologist and Senior Research Scientist University of Washington A huge area of abnormally warm water has formed along the Pacific coast. Coined “The Blob” by Dr. Bond, this phenomenon may be disrupting marine food webs and affecting our local weather as well as weather events across the U.S.
