Trail Tales Intertidal Monitoring Interpretation Station

The Trail Tales Intertidal Monitoring Interpretation Station will be on the Tommy Thompson Trail near the otter statue. While citizen science volunteers sample along the shoreline, Trail Tales  docents will answer your questions and explain what is going on with fun interactive activities.

Access the trail at the 34th Street crossing and head south to the otter sculpture (~1/4 mile) where you'll meet our interpretive docents.

Fidalgo Bay Day & National Estuaries Day (Sat. 27 Aug, 2016 11:00 am - 3:00 pm)

Come celebrate one of our most important estuaries, Fidalgo Bay, a state Aquatic Reserve.  This event is open to all ages and has many activities, learning opportunities, and a "Discovery Passport" that can be completed to win a prize.

Fun for the whole family, young and old.  Enjoy chowder and seafood samples and watch local citizen scientists as they demonstate a beach seining technique used to survey aquatic animals in the bay.
