Getting to Know NOAA: An exploration of NOAA’s science, service and stewardship mission in the Salish Sea and across the Western United States.

Presenter: Polly Hicks: Restoration Ecologist, NOAA, Seattle, WA

From daily weather forecasts, severe storm warnings, and climate monitoring to fisheries management, coastal restoration and supporting marine commerce, NOAA’s products and services support economic vitality as well as resilient communities and ecosystems. Ms. Hicks will talk about NOAA’s history and mission and provide examples of how’s NOAA’s work, which reaches from the surface of the sun to the depths of the ocean floor, supports the communities and health of Puget Sound.
