Trail Tales Lunch & Learn: Cap Sante Waterfront - Cleaning Up the Neighborhood

Date: Wednesday, May 28, 2014 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Location: Cap Sante Marina
Contact info: Nancy Olsen, Trail Tales Volunteer Coordinator

Take a lunch break with our Trail Tales docents and join one of our new Lunch & Learn interpretive walks. This walk will visit three cleanup sites around the Cap Sante boat basin to learn about the history of these sites and their environmental restoration under a partnership between the Port of Anacortes and Dept. of Ecology's Toxics Cleanup Program. Bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy while we discuss the largest cleanup site, which is now a beautiful park on the shore of Fidalgo Bay. Representatives of Ecology and the Port will join this walk to share their perspectives. These three cleanup sites are all part of the Dept. of Ecology's Anacortes Baywide Cleanup.
